Returns, exchanges, order cancelation and refunds:
Books 6 and 7 of the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek) stipulates that the Customer has the general right to a reflection period (cooling-off period or cancellation period). During this period the Customer may cancel or return their order or cancel the contract (right of withdrawal or dissolution right).
TRM offers Customers a 14-day (fourteen calendar days) cancellation period. The 14-day period starts when the customer receives the product. Customers can return the product(s) within this period without stating a reason. Customer has to cover the return costs. We highly recommend to use insured and tracked shipping services to ensure that the returns reach TRM in a correct manner.
TRM must refund the purchase price and the original delivery charges within a 14-day period after receiving the returned parcel. TRM will only refund to the original source of payment, i.e. it is not possible to refund to other accounts. TRM will not refund any additional costs, such like import duties and taxes. Exclusion of refunds also applies to other thirds party cost, e.g. garage labour.
In some cases Customers do fundamentally not have a right of withdrawal, this means these products cannot be returned. The reflection period and return policy do not apply to:
- Customised goods (parts that were built to order, e.g. specific surface treatments)
- Hygiene products (shift knobs are excluded from exchange due to hygiene reasons)
- Goods that deteriorate quickly
- Products of which the sealing has been broken (e.g. brake fluid)
- All business to business orders (B2B), for business to business sales of goods or services the general rules of sale apply.
The cancellation should be submitted, within the 14-day deadline, in written form either via email or hardcopy to:

In case of an effective order cancellation, the Customer is obliged to return the received product in its original and undamaged condition. If parts are missing or are in a degraded condition, Customer may have to provide respective compensation determined by TRM. Customer has the right to claim a second opinion regarding the determined compensation, the costs for this second opinion are payable by the Customer.
